The City of Fircrest 2/3rd grade Coach Pitch league is designed to introduce the fundamentals of youth baseball in a FUN and friendly environment while beginning to introduce the concept of competition.
Typically, each team has 11-13 players on a roster and all team members will hit and will rotate in the field. An average of 2 events (games, practices) per week can be expected.
Players are assigned to teams by the league, considering the special parental requests made during the registration process. Although the league does its best to accommodate the special requests of parents and coaches, such requests cannot always be honored due to the large number of participants in the program.
Coach pitch practices and games will be played predominantly on weeknights (usually Thursdays). Due to growth of the league, some games/practices may occur on Saturday mornings.
